I work part time in an electronics store (I won't get more specific than that). Nearly everything in this store is made in China. I make a little more than minimum wage and don't get any medical benefits. That's all fine with me. If it weren't I wouldn't work it. It is my choice. As with the part time people at Wal Mart, I do this for something to do and to make a little extra money. The owner of the store, however, will not shop at Wal Mart because the buy all their "stuff" from China and they don't pay a "living wage" and they don't give benefits to their part time employees. I don't think most liberals really know why they are not supposed to like Wal Mart but it's in the "play book" so they go along with it. TC

re: "sudden, & newfound" Not for me. They've been putting ma and pa businesses out of business for as long as they've been around. They represent a consolidation of power which I have been against for as long as I can remember. They pay their workers so poorly that they have to get health care provided by the state. They treat their workers poorly. That's why they have a very high worker turnover. When I'm interested in what someone who calls themselves bearcat bob thinks, I'll let you know.
