"it would be easy to not consider Saddam a threat"

I don't see how he got to be public enemy number one. The guy never did anything to harm the United States. He was a ruthless bastard but nobody cared about it at the time.

It's abundantly clear that under no circumstances was he willing to use WMDs against American troops.

this particular retort is starting to get hysterical....

....Perhaps you are French then,....

Mainstream America went along when the rightwing nutcases declared emotional war on france and renamed french fries to freedom fries. Stupid but not worth fighting over, you know?

Nobody I know really loves the french people, but otoh its a bit silly to carry on like this. The french government is NOT the most antagonistic govt out there towards the US.

Great answer dittohead. And I'm not French. I'm a proud American who is proud of the patriot Michael Moore. Is that still legal?

Saddam had nothing to do with 9-11 and was no current threat. Condi Rice stated that on camera in 2001, that Saddam posed no serious threat. Powell said the same. Both clips are in the Moore film so dont try denying it.

Bush lied, he got caught, he tried lying more, he covered up. he keeps on lying. You guys just don't know when to say you're sorry, you blew it, you tried to trick us, and beg forgiveness. I see Reagan, Kennedy, Nixon and Clinton all apologized to the nation for their mistakes. Time for Bush too. His crimes and mistakes are worse than all four of theirs put together. In fact ten times as bad.
