There is not time to spare to protect and secure stable oil flow from the gulf region. There is no way to become less dependent on ME oil. If you use any significant amount you are exposed.

The only people I see stealing oil were the French, Germans and Russians who were taking oil from Saddam in turn for considerations. This was Iraqi peoples' oil.

I see the USA paying a very high price for Iraqi oil every day, in money and blood.
