Hello Jay,
A while ago you happened to mention 0682.HK, Chaoda Modern Agriculture. The vista seemed fascinating but I decided not to buy the shares because they won't actually own anything. Anybody else with agriculture know how can also get into the business. They have no secret technology or patentable stuff. So the trend may be enormous and great for the poor Chinese farmers but investment-wise I can't see it. Meanwhile the price of the shares has been steadily declining. Do you have any opinion?
Chugs,
mb

Jay: This pearl of wealth--what sector of the market?
I love the microcaps, but I admit to paring quite a few lately to give myself some hope of liquidity to get out of the market in suddenly trying times.

<<This was supposed to be the week of reckoning on Iraq and interest rates. But for some on Wall Street, it turned out to be the week of reckoning on the strength of the economic recovery.

The transfer of power in Iraq went largely without incident on Monday, two days early, and the Federal Reserve's first interest rate increase in four years came and went on Wednesday, with neither causing much ado in the markets. But key economic data came in lower than expected over the past week, culminating with Friday's jobs report. The data, coupled with some warning signs that big US companies are sensitive to the economy, had Wall Street jittery about where the US economy was heading.>>

False dawn is over.
