Ted, And what is Bush doing? He promises the Latinos one thing; the Cubanos something else, the religious right still something else. Its called politics!

I'm not sure what he promised the Cubans, but I'm guessing it's similar to what he's promising the Latinos. You're right about that, and it's one of my major criticisms of Bush, that he's weakening his core constituency in pursuit of these votes.

As for the "religious right," it's kind of strange to accuse him of trying to "promise" them anything, because it should be obvious that they are part of Bush's core constituency. Unless, of course, you're talking about some of the more activist fringes of the "religious right."
