zeus, Nah, and they can get your electrolytes seriously out of whack. They are basically less nutritional Cokes and Pepsis.

The sports drink I use is rarely advertised and has been around for something like 25 years, and I just looked up the potassium and it's 100 mg/8 oz serving. It's called ERG, for Electrolyte Replacement with Glucose.
