I personally know about ten Republicans who can't stand Bush though they voted for him in 2000. Multiply that times a million, my friend. Okay, maybe not that many will go so far as to vote for Kerry but many will decide to stay home rather than help Bush.

First of all, if they are like my GOP friends, they are fairly liberal. Secondly, they may say one thing and do something very differently in the ballot box. Thirdly, I really don't think that there are that many or the polls would read a lot differently.
