No comdex this year, looks like the Bush economy is rolling right along.

I went to Comdex three times. Other than schmoozing and partying with folks as "reward for hard work" it was a waste of time and dollars for the most part. Intel used to spend a fortune to put on a show. Do you think that show now would help them sell any more PCs this year?

No, I don't think it would help sales to have another comdex. Its just that that stupid thing has been happening since 1979... all through the PC bust in the mid 80s... I know you were here then so you must remember that mid-80s period, it was quite bad and very difficult for engineers from Berkeley to get jobs, anyway that was a bust also and Comdex was alive THEN, so the fact that it is cancelled now is disconcerting to me

re:Michael Moore- you know, I never liked the guy. He has done a few humorous things like that clip he shows of the nuns chasing after Kenneth Starr in a modern day witch trial, but a lot of his stuff is pretty self indulgent (he used to have a TV show). I tried to get in to see F911 this weekend though, and it was sold out everywhere with lines.
