Cheney and his horde of looters tried to colonize Iraq.. When they failed because the Iraqis put up a stiff resistance, they have now bolted in the name of handing over sovereignty. Bremer could not wait to flee. If the US left Iraq 30 days after the ouster the Saddam, they would not have left so many dead innocent Iraqis behind. If they had left then there would not have been a Sadr or a Zarquwi. Iraq was peaceful, people were still rejoicing in the streets etc. But then Cheney and Bush had their grand designs of taking American contractors in there. They refused to award contracts to anyone else except for a chosen few such as Halliburton. Then the violence started. All foreign workers not just Americans, whom Bush brought in were attacked. Koreans, Pakistanis all included. A clear signal that Iraq cannot be looted and plundered was sent out to the world. Bush cried wolf and finally got chased out. My friend, Bush should have known better that he needs to not trample on the national pride of the Iraqis. In the Arab world, the Iraqis are the most learned with a very ancient culture. They have reason to have that national pride. It is not USA I am against. It is that trampling of a national pride, it is that General Boykin's trampling of the Islamic faith that I am against. In yesteryears American was loved and looked upto as the one who respected others, a powerful nation yet very compassionate and understanding. Today it has become the "Fuck You" nation as our Vice-President Mr. Cheny says by uttering those words on the Senate floor of all places. It is time to put a stop to all that, first and foremost. And we will do so in a very honorable way; use the power of the ballot in November.
