Callers to both stations also used the opportunity to stress that all Iraqis -- Sunnis, Shiites, Kurds and Christians -- should stand together in the face of the challenges the country is likely to face in the coming months.

This is very heartening and just what I was hoping to see. If these people come to think of themselves as IRAQI'S FIRST and various Sects SECOND they will have gone a long way toward winning the battle for a glorious NATION. jdn

Oh, cut it! The best-case scenario for Allawi and his fellow-puppets over the next six months is that he will still be alive (thanks to the 100+ US soldiers that guard him a la Karzai, the ruler of Zipcode 275354 and 275355 (some areas only and only during daylight hours!) in Kabul, Afghanistan :-) ), and 4 in 5 of his fellow-puppets will be alive as well. That is the best-case scenario, IMO.

Hopefully, the world will all wish the New Iraq the Best! Wonder where that puts France? Germany? Leftists everywhere?
