The europeans would bend over backwards to help Kerry. The reason they're not sending troops to Iraq now is very clear - the Bush neocons. They consider them too rightwing, too arrogant, untruthworthy and corrupt. They don't want to help them get re-elected because they consider that disasterous for the world, including for the war on terror. Bushies just don't know how to work with others. Powell has tried but he's been the odd man out in the White House.
