That makes sense but doesn't the competition charge royalties. I was unaware that Q got a percentage of the chat revenue. It's not like a typical Brew monthly download.
If that's the case then I do see a rough road ahead for Brew Chat sales.


That is my understanding of the business model. I also think that part of the Nextel agreement was that they would be entitled to a small percentage of the revenue stream....but it has been so long since I read about both of these things that I'll try and dig up something to confirm it.

It’s my understanding that the Q’s revenue stream is based on the number of PTT seats (users) on the network. I’m not sure if that’s split with Nextel per their license agreement.

Apparently Alltel , which uses the Kodiak Network system, is a better PTT system that what the current BREWChat offers. Seybold discusses it in this article.
