ROFL! One of the interesting aspects of all this to me is the increasing association of "unthinking" and "intelligentsia." How did that come to pass? Being intellectual used to be a good thing. A mind is, indeed, a terrible thing to waste. Somehow while we weren't looking the scientific method was eclipsed by this intelligentsia religion. I admit that I did not see that developing contemporaneously. I just awoke at some point to find it there. I saw pockets of it but didn't recognize the ubiquity of it. People sure do gravitate to and cherish their myths.
