Nobody ever said that Saddam planned 9/11. There's lot of connections between Iraq and Al Qaeda, starting with Iraqi fingerprints all over the 1993 WTC bombing and going from there. As for 'no WMDs', we are still learning where and how he dumped them - apart from the reports coming in of the "resistance" (which is fused Baathists and Al Qaeda now - how could that be, I wonder, when I keep hearing how they would never work together?) using sarin and mustard gas shells against coalition troops. To claim that a man who killed millions and gassed the Kurds is some sort of benevolent harmless fellow who OF COURSE never had WMDS - when every intelligence service in the world thought he did - is nuts, just nuts. You'll be wanting us to give benefit of the doubt to Kim Jong Il next.
