The new US embassy will be the biggest in history. From the embassy, 1600 mostly security personnel (read CIA, etc) will be closely monitoring (read controlling) things for some time to come.

It would be a miracle if this new Iraqi government were able to actually govern and enforce anything. We all hope it will but Big Brother Bush is looking right over their shoulder. Until they really take control, they're a puppet government. Still that's better than nothing. Just too bad the security situation is so awful. Fallujah is now the headquarters for Al Qaida and ths former Baathists together after Bush refused to go in there with troops.

Lol. AS has no knowledge of what is going on...he just makes things up and when questioned worms his way around the question.

So it is your opinion that the networks have said that the USA will run Iraq from the new embassy? We know about the military side of it. Rumsfeld has publically stated that the coalition military will insure security. I'm still waiting for your factual link where Colin Powell states the USA will be running Iraq from the Embassy
