Culture 1, Blinker Nil Of all the spammers, scammers, pumpers, frauds and charlatans to have been given the Cheer from the Borough of Jonas Bronck on SI, you are the most deluded. You have an agenda, more wicked than most. You have been on SI for years, trying to sell (ineptly, obnoxiously, with not a speck of goodwill or humor) your malodorous snake oil. With not one sale, as far as I can tell. Got references from satisfied customers? Didn’t think so. You stepped uninvited into a thread where a patrol of SI’s Boogerville Irregulars were in process of responding to an 8-42 alarm call (Sorcerer’s Apprentice Caught Recalibrating His Own Predictions), and set up your card table. When the “sales appeal” looks like a pile of Saturday Night heave-up behind the Curry Palace, and the salesman steps out from behind the curtain to bite the punters’s ankles, you can expect to hear the boos.
