Don't kid yourself; that's not the biggest reason we went into Iraq, although it most certainly is now, because it's the only good one.

But if tens or hundreds of thousands die in civil war, is Iraq any better off than they were under Saddam?

We helped start it -- I'd be a lot more comfortable with this if we had an administration which would at least say, "We sorta created a monster, guys, but now it's time to do something about it."
