Big deal. Al Quada operatives plot within the US. That doesn't mean it's with the approval of our government.

You really are clueless about the difference between a free country and a Stalinist police state, aren't you?

Yes, if you've ever traveled in a third world country

So, you've travelled in a totalitarian country? Did you notice the presence of that government minder by your shoulder?

Just clueless.

And, your argument speaks better to the Saudis, whom the Bush Administration protects.

That much is true, I admit. But the Saudi Aliance was the grand cornerstone of the realist Middle East policy, the work of the State Department for generations. That alliance broke on 9/11. We certainly didn't topple the Taliban to please the Saudis, their patrons. And we have cleared ourselves from depending on the Saudis militarily, if you'll notice - our bases are all in Kuwait and Qattar now. If we still move to protect the Saudi royal family, it's because the alternative is direct al Qaeda rule of Arabia.
