1997 is totally irrelevant. Quit posting BS from 1997. Clinton took care of the problem, at least for awhile after that. It wasn't until Bush claimed to have intel in 2002 revealing Saddam had started up his WMD's programs again that there was another big alarm. At that poiont we wanted to trust the president, but he was a big fat liar.

Bush and his people deceived us. They either knew the reports were lies or they were so inept they didn't double-check them. In any case, they led us into a needless war based on a bunch of lies. Care to debate that?

And no, Kerry did not say the same thing Bush did. Never. He was simply for fisarmament. I was present at some of his speeches on Iraq in 2002 so I know. He was for disarmament but invasion only "because we have to" as a last resort, and then very well planned including a post-invasion plan sanctioned by the international community. Kerry knows what he's talking about. You and Bush don't. You're either liars or simply inept. Or both.
