I think he probably set the record for people protesting in the US, also. Even during Vietnam you didn't have the huge cross sections of protestors, in terms of age, and politics, and socio-economic status, you did in the protests leading up to the Iraq war. I'd be interested in seeing those numbers- if there are any one can believe.
