bullshit. if you think that the enemy in the bush knew or gave a crap about what kerry did or didn't say, you're an idiot (seems to be many around here).

kerry got a first hand lesson in vietnam about just how sick and cruel human beings can be (even the ones on our side), particularly in war. sounds to me like it shook him badly and he tried to quell his demons when he got back by exposing the nightmare. as i would expect, anyone still there would be seriously pissed off, as the taint from such accusations is hard to wash off.

i don't blame him for saying it, and i don't blame others for being ticked about it... the whole situation was f*cked.

i have little doubt that the incidents happened, whether he should have been so outspoken about them is another matter.
