If he wanted to reverse the ticket. She would get double the media coverage, and the crowds, that he would.

Considering his speaking style and pompous demeanor - it may be a prudent choice.

If a Clinton VP happens - Kerry's reception at Rainbow/Push on Wednesday will have a lot to do with the decision... not much enthusiasm there. Probably realized that he needed "something" more there.

Hard to imagine his ego taking it though. He will, in essence, become a seat warmer for Hillary for 4 years if they win.

On the other hand, taking Edwards and winning sets up a serious future rival to Billary's presidential aspirations. The Clinton machine may be making a play for VP in order to preempt that possibility...

So what? If elected, Kerry is President and she goes to funerals. Reminds me of LBJ's comment concerning the Vice-Presidency--not worth a bucket of warm spit.

I'll bet that Hillary is regretting passing on the race this year. She probably thought that no Dem had a chance but things have changed.
