mike I can not even imagine the horror you saw that day. I sat totally stunned as I woke up to the pictures here on the West Coast.

The first plane, I thought...accident...then no, a hijacking gone amuck....then the second plane hit....and we all realized that we had been hit by an enemy. And with our own planes. And passengers. And all the people in the buildings.

Initial reports were as many as 50,000 could be killed or injured after the buildings fell. In the meantime, there was some smoke coming from the Pentagon. At first most didn't realize what it was. Then we heard it was a plane, and we all knew.

Then we heard about the plane in PA. And saw all the people running for their lives in NYC with horror on their faces as well as ours watching.

And there was nothing any of us could do. A terrible, terrible day.

And really, took me, and probably most of the rest of the month to somewhat shake off the horror. In fact, even today, I watch planes in the sky and wonder if we are going to see them hit some building or explode in the sky.
