I agree that there is much libelous exaggeration coming from the left here, particularly the far left. In truth, however, I don't think many in their heart of hearts, believe what they post to be much more than creative writing and rhetorical sniping.

Much in the same way, I don't believe that even CYBERKEN would really round up and gas all the democrats he could find if he had the opportunity.

I do believe, however, that much of the vehemence you see coming from the left is vengence resulting from the perceived unjust persecution of their hero, Bill Clinton. Many believe that what was done to him was way below the belt (pun intended), and that they should therefore no longer be bound by traditional morality in their current attacks on the right (an eye for an eye).

To interject my opinion for a moment, I did not think that B.C.'s personal or sexual life was anyone's business aside from his, and that the entire inquisition was a partisan farce that should have never happened. However, I do not excuse him for breaking any laws and shamefully perjuring himself before Congress and the US public.
