The opening of Ryan's sealed court records was a fishing expedition. The judge must have been acting as a Democrat operative.

The really sad thing is, this didn't have to happen. Ryan was running because Peter Fitzgerald opted not to run again, he was receiving no party support. Fitzgerald was a principled conservative who consistently voted against pork for his own state. It appears the revolution of 94 is indeed dead....

Or would opening them be a fishing expedition?

They are fishing, and it's a shame. They should have left Ryan alone. If Kerry's first divorce was messy, I think the Boston Globe would have had it by now. They don't like him.

I don't think any Mass Judge will open Kerry's records. BTW, I hear he paid big bucks for the annulment, but that is normal. The Bishops always need money.

There is nothing "rumored" to be in Kerry's sealed divorce records that I've read, but that is what journalists do........they dig.

That doesn't make it right, but they didn't hesitate to dig into Ryan's divorce papers. They will try to dig into Kerry's. The fact that they managed to have Ryan's papers released is an invasion of privacy imo....why even bother if judges ignore requests?

What's left of Pandora's box is crumbling away to dust. I think they will try to have Kerry's papers released, but I doubt journalists will find a sympathetic judge in Mass. (Kerry probably does too.)

I have a mountain of work today and for the rest of the weekend, so If I don't get to your other posts right away I apologize.

Kerry's first wife, Julia Thorne, wrote a couple of books about depression and divorce, which I have not read.

Facially, she reminds me a lot of the young woman recently linked to Kerry as a possible lover.

The Chicago Tribune and 7ABC were on a fishing expedition for Ryan's info and private business. Kerry's papers were sealed as well. He said he didn't want them opened.

The question is: are the 2 media groups above going to pursue the matter for Kerry as they did for Ryan.

If not, why not?
Why were they pursuing Ryan in the first place?

Could it be because he was a Republican, and every House seat counts to the Dems, no matter who and how they get it???

The whole scene is totally out of line, IMO.
