Moore is not a "crackpot" he's a major force in modern media who won the Oscar last year. If he were a BS artist or crackpot his films would not succeed and no one would be paying much attention to him. The reason he is powerful is that he puts a lot of real stuff on the screen and backs up his BS with evidence. Yes there is another way of looking at things and nothing is black and white, but Moore has done democracy a great service by letting voters have a look at the dark underbelly of the neocon revolution.

The fact that the Dem party aligns itself with a crackpot.

What does that mean? I just went to the DNC and JFK web sites and did a quick perusal.....neither mentioned MM nor his film.

His idea that it is out of desperation seems to me like the right one.

I don't understand you. What's out of desperation?

Joe, The fact that the Dem party aligns itself with a crackpot.

And that's the real catch behind the "Anyone But Bush" campaign. Without defining a clear alternative, there's no way to differentiate among all of the members of that ABB coalition, from Kerry to Gore to Moore to "million Mogadishu" de Genova.
