And folks should remember that the unknown had to be dealt with before they could move the president. Were there bombs exploding anywhere? Was there a hijacked plane heading for that school? Was the military communications infrastructure intact? Was it safe to transport the president to AF-1, or for AF-1 to even take off? All those issues needed to be dealt with by the SS before Bush could leave that classroom.
