I believe it's a central tenet of the Muslim faith that it is Allah's will that the entire world must submit to Islam Not only 'must', but 'will'. I don't think the Muslim world has ever gotten over the end of the expansion of Islam. They cannot rationalize it.

I have always thought that the major belief systems (systems with more than ~ 1 billion followers - or belief systems that have been around for more than several thousand years) could co-exist. What am I missing?
