<<We know Bush is bad for the US from his record.>>

I really don't think you can claim that...he may not be your choice but he was handed several problems that weren't his fault. The economy was weal and had been getting worse in Clintons last term. No president can impact an economy of this size in a matter of a few months.

<<HOw do you know Kerry will be bad?>>

I'm not saying he'll be bad. My point is if we're being honest we have to all admit that neither of these guys represent the best America has to offer in a leader.

<<They knew full well that Bush Sr. was a failure "as President">>

That is simply not true. Much of the solid economy in the early 90's (92-95) was as a result of Bush 1 policies AND the fact that oil dropped below 15 per barrel. Bush Sr, should have gotten a second term. Furthermore I think by 1996 Clinton would have been more mature and better prepared to be a solid president without the issues that hurt him later in his second term.

<<YOu have admitted that Bush is a mediocre person as President and you still say you are going to vote for him?>>

Thats true. He's not a great candidate but neither is Kerry. The fact that he and bush are close in the polls tells you that people aren't all that enamored with Kerry either.

Don't fall into the trap that all Republicans are bad. That makes it far too easy because you don't have to think. Once we get past this election I hope that our future choices as president will get better. In a perfect world we would all ignore part affiliation and vote for the bext man, woman or cross dresser for the job <g>
