One only has to go to non-subscription sites like Yahoo to see how low a thread can sink. I remember the days of Usenet (before every public thread became a porn solicitation) and the early days of public access to Internet's bounty. Many people reviled the newbies for their lack of netiquette. I hated the snobbery manifested by the exclusion of the "newbie" but, in hindsight, they appear to have been right. The boors have all but pushed out any rational discussion.
