Well I think the creationist viewpoint puts way way way too much faith in just a couple of bible sentences. We all know what the speed of light is and how far away distant galaxies are. Clearly the universe is a lot older than what Genesis seems to be saying. It doesn't take a genious to figure out that the universe is at least as old as the light from the most distant Quasars. Anybody who says the Bible is 100% correct is taking a big chance because then all it takes is to find one mistake and you have to throw the whole thing out. In my opinion the important information to living a moral and upright life is clear, understandable and correct. The rest isn't really important.
