i know you do not mean that. i am kidding you because i have a few exchanges on other thread that makes me feel the need to clarify my point. ;-)

what i believe is, a few things are weighing on us.

1) the job report tomorrow. bonds seem to think it is a lack luster report because 10 year traded down to 4.58.
a lack luster report means Fed can wait. otoh, Monster.com index seems to indicate it will be a good report. good report means Fed may act in august.
further, manufacturing sector may show a decline first time for 6 months ? and that is no good.

2) long weekend - particular this time and the significance of the holiday - July 4th - something always at the back of our mind.

3) the start of warning season.

However, in 2002, 2003, after july 4th, no incident, market made some good move up, and last thru july if i remember correctly. though the beginning of august seems always a rough patch no matter which year.
