Andrew Sullivan pointed out that the BBC printed 100% positive Iraqi quotes on Allawi, and you know that they must have scoured Baghdad looking for negative quotes. Looks like the guy has a honeymoon period. Hope he can use it. At least the insurgents are now in a bad hole, PR-wise.

IMO Paul Bremer deserves a medal for his performance in a nearly impossible job.

I'm getting hints that the Iraqi feelings towards Bremer have changed 180% since he left. Before, he was the lightning rod for all that was wrong with the occupation; now, having left (which many Iraqis never believed he would actually do), they remember the good things he did.
