mish, Roach is good, as always. But Stephen Jen's "Global Imbalances are Good" qualifies as my propaganda hoot of the week. What a joick he is.

>>>Job situation looks bleak to me - Mish <<< and this is why you can not blame everything in the economy on this administration.

The only way to save us is lower USD to attract more jobs back home.

$1 billion in trade deficit equals to about 10,000 jobs with a multiplier effect of 2.5 to 3 it is 25,000 jobs. as about 30% to 35% goes in local and federal taxes, $1 billion less in trade deficit will lower the budget deficit by about $350 million.

In a nutshell $100 billion less in trade deficit will generate about 1 million jobs and lower the budget deficit accordingly.

Balanced trade will wipe out also the budget deficit.
