Bush is from the most elite family in the US, including close associations with the Saudi Royals and Bin Laudens, Bectel, Exxon, Chevron, Halliburton, even the CIA and White House. So what if Bush had a few years of relatively normal life? He also summered in Kennebunkport and his entire family is from the uppercrust Yankee preppy world.

Kerry was in the military and combat where he fought side by side with men of all colors and stripes, where who you are doesn't matter one bit. Now that's an experience which puts you in touch with average people. Bush never had any such experience in his entire life. Even his Guard training was a champagne unit of rich boys.
