Amy, great posts. I think you hit the nail on the head. For Americans who want jobs, there will be plenty, because of the baby boomers retiring. And wages will continue to rise at a good pace. But stock profits don't have to die on us. How smart companies are anticipating this change is by offshoring and hiring foreign workers and trying to get the gov't to allow more immigration. That is how we will staff the coming shortfall.

I wouldn't worry about U.S. companies. If they need to hire, they will and they'll do it fast. There are lot's of ways to do it. Mark my words, in 3-4 years time, companies are going to be very thankful they have set up relationships with offshore firms, because that is who they will continue to turn to for alot of their hiring needs when the U.S. workforce gets tapped out.
