no mindmeld that is not true. I was buying stocks all through the 00-02 bear market. I am an optimist. I went sour when this recovery didn't pan out. I have lived through 3 boom and bust cycles in technology. This one is different, it is an "L" shape. I blame offshoring but choose your poison. The fact is, we never recovered in the technology industry which is completely unlike the recession that reminds me most of this period.... the 85-86 computer bust after the froth. recessions are a normal part of the economic cycle and we were due one in 2000. but this recovery is what is troublesome. it is like the 70s bust after aerospace went down, you know the period when they made those movies like "fun with dick and jane" (a classic). Thats when an industry goes down and NEVER comes back. We can't lose the internet industry in the USA and have a robust economy. THe new economy companies are our entire growth engine now. Either we get our mo back in technology or else. The warnings in the tech industry are quite bad this time around.
