It makes perfect sense, first off, because payrolls aren't 3 million lower, they are only 1 million lower. Also, jobs growth ALWAYS lags economic recoveries. Also, if you look at the household survey which includes entreprenuerial activity, then jobs growth goes up dramatically. So if you want to talk about messed up calculations, let's talk about that one. The BLS non-farm payrolls figure ignores new self-employed people, which typically create the majority of new jobs in an economic recovery.

It's that again you aren't looking at all the data.
