Are you aware that Islam also requires men to be robed fully including covering their hair with a turban? You apply your values, yell that it si aviolation of women's rights without caring to understand their history, their pride to do something etc. Remember, we are not discussing the treatment of women by the Taliban in Afghanistan where they were ordered to stay at home, were whipped in public for crimes that their menfolks would not be whipped etc. Those are different. We are talking about the hijab. There are many Caucasian woman converts here in the US who wear the hijab with pride. You just need to come to a cosmopolitan state like California (where Kerry s far ahead in this progressive state) to see that.
