Exactly. I have posted that "cruel and stupid lizard" quote over and over. Hitchens is jealous, and he will rake any muck that sells. He fails to see that he cannot libel Reagan and join the anti-Moore bandwagon at the same time. His primary goal is to exalt himself and sell his column, but even given that goal, he should not have written that article about Reagan.

Perhaps he was less than sober, working from home, and wrote that scathing piece in a fit of anger? Then he clicked "send," and emailed it to his editor before he could realize its implications? That's just a guess, and imho. I would not want to call him "cruel and stupid" or anything like that.
