Ted,

Yugoslovia........which was breaking up after Tito died. Serbia was attacking its neighbors including Kosovo and committing atrocities.

Kosovo was nobody's neighbor. It was a province of Serbian Republic. Yugoslavia broke apard based on the borders of the republics that comprised federation of Yugoslavia.

As far as atrocities, the secessionist Kosovo turned from non-violent means to violent guerilla war, supported by you our favorite Wahabi, who on the days off, when not plotting to murder Americans, was helping the KLA guerillas. Serbian military responded in kind.

I can't believe how so many people (including some on the right) can get this so wrong. We faught on the side of Al-Qaeda in Kosovo. It doesn't matter how distasteful the Al-Qaeda opponent is (as it was the case with Milosovic), he is always more appealing than Bin Laden and his Al Qaeda.

Milosevic was a cruel dictator who was bent on keeping the breakup from happening.

A cruel dictator? Hmmm... I have not heard you say this about Saddam for a while... Milosovic was a distasteful character, I agree, but he won a democratic election to become president (which some people dispute that it had irregularities) and the way he was removed power was by losing the next election.

Read the article from the right's favorite magazine.....

I can't access it.

Agreed and they were not threatening those countries who neighbor it and with whom we have alliances.

Agreed, on Iraq (with minor disagreement on Iraq threatening Israel). But none of our allies were threatened by Serbia.
