Emile, I really enjoyed the conversation that Alan and you were having. A little boisterous but Alan hung in there and you both brought out many good points.

However, Ruff is just way out of line to attempt to interject his judgmental attitudes obviously attempting to keep this thread in a constant fight to suppress any and all conversations between Christian brothers.

There is no reason for Christians to call each other names and to fight to provide entertainment for the few trouble makers that habituate this place.

James

More blood libels. I am here to learn. I would gladly accept words of love and understanding. How can I accept your version of religion, one that is filled with hatred, mockery of others, blood libels based on ignorant interpretations and analyses from centuries and millenia past?

I can't imagine any free thinking individual embracing a ministry of hatred. I have never once said that my version of religion is right. I have very little knowledge of any ancient tomes, let alone the Talmud, other than as a historical document, again, much like an internet chat board of the ancient times.

Do you want your talmud to be these words filled with hatred from you and those who believe as you do, something that in 1000 years will be reviewed with wonderment? Can you imagine the type of world it would be if belief was based on hatred, precedent cited from "Emile's talmud and internet commentaries?"

All I can say is that thank goodness there are free thinkers like Jordan, like Haq and many others here to quickly set the record straight. The vast majority of Christians do not believe as you do, do not teach hatred of others, merely because of beliefs, religion, race or history.

It's pretty clear that you are not going to deny specifically that you are "that Emile" cited in the article professing "THERE ARE TOO MANY BLACKS IN CITY HALL." I think you owe Alan an apology.

Specifics - not weasel words. Let me show you an example. "I am not the Emile Vidrine cited in the article. I do not believe and have never believed that there are too many blacks in a city hall. I would only judge individuals on merit and would not see them as black or white, Christian, Muslim or Jew. I wish all to be able to serve in government, solely on merit, without prejudice based on their race, religion or creed."

How's that? I bet almost all readers could state that quote pretty easily.
