Karen, on what evidence is Wolfowitz being accused of putting Israel's interests before America's? An accusation that does not seem to dog his boss, Donald Rumsfeld, btw. Yet there is no great difference between their policies, that I can see, so what's the difference between them? Hmm, I think I see one....

Language like "puppet master" is patently inflammatory. It does not merely assert disproportionate influence, but influence which is conspiratorial and corrupt, and it is direct evidence of a pervasive demonization of the group or individual so characterized. By preponderance of evidence, it is reasonable to assume bias, since it is very rare to go out on so big a limb without a pattern of prejudicial assertions.
