If the U.S. opens up again, then immigrants might take alot of U.S. jobs too, because they typically are willing to work for less, they don't typically join unions, and they are increasingly very well educated (from India, China, and other Asian countries).

What do you mean if the US opens up again? We are open. Tons of immigration going on.

One way to look at immigrants is we need them to support the baby boomers to retire. Perhaps 10 -20 to one in order to support those who retire with social security. Someone will have to occupy the low paying jobs which can not support a family.
