" the religious right, are for keeping women subservient to men?"

You are correct on this one! The fundamentalist Orthodox Jewish right have always been for keeping women down and separated from men. The central sections of their Synagogues are reserved for "men only" much like the segregation signs of the antebellum South.

Do you ever discuss the real issues, or do you simply like to pretend that you are a brave avant guardesman while you discuss only what the establishment and political correctness allows you to discuss?

Vive la difference

Yes, I definitely disagree that the Left is the standard bearer for women's rights. At one time the claim was true, but in the meantime radical feminine groups turned the women's movement into a haven for "unusual" women with "unique" lifestyles(those diplomatic adjectives are not meant to be compliments). The majority of American women(who are voting majority as well) support a woman's right to choose, so the alarms sounded by the left on that score are overblown. The Left is a conglomeration of all extreme groups in the USA. Therefore, moderate voters are forced by the Left's radical nature, to support the Right....warts and all. Because, in fact, the Left has larger warts. Hopefully, in not too distant future, both political parties will return to moderation and thereby represent the majority of Americans instead of mostly championing causes of the extremists on both sides.
