There are criminals in both parties, and there are bad men in both parties- but not all bad men do the same level of bad things. Starting an unnecessary war tops the list for me. That's a Very Bad Thing. It's an especially bad thing when it distracts our government from, and diverts resources away from, what should be our real object- terrorists.

Both parties suck up our nations resources for stupid things. Both parties have nasty venal people as their representatives. Both parties have name callers, and people who lower the debate to the level of the sewer.

But only one party started a huge war in Iraq which is costing billions and achieving nothing (or a negative nothing) for the US (and I'm not even sure it will have achieved much for Iraqis, when the whole thing shakes itself out, in 5, or 10 years). That party, which so touted this war, should be voted out because of this war. Democrats should have done more to stop the war- and if they had been half awake perhaps they would have, but both parties were asleep on this one- and republicans and democrats are waking up and saying "We were fooled...boohoo" A pox on both their houses. But the leadership is always most responsible- especially when they mislead- and that is what happened here. Other administrations will be equally sycophantic to big business; other administrations will have the same disregard for the working men and women of this country, who cannot afford to make big contributions (except when they contribute the lives of their sons and daughters). But I think most administrations would not go to war so blithely, and so stupidly.
