Well, first of all, Moore doesn't have a great history of telling impeccable cinematic truth. I understand, though, that Fahrenheit has been fact-checked in a way different from Columbine, which contained a lot of misinformation; and friends who found Columbine unrespectable (lacking intellectual respect for Moore, I didn't go to it) say that this is not only a moving film, but a respectable one -- it isn't 'news, it's 'op ed,' of course -- a 'talking points' sort of movie that doesn't aspire to present all sides, a satirical documentary with some striking footage and its own POV. I look forward to seeing it and hope it contributes to the defeat of Bush, who is a dangerous, unAmerican laughing stock moron, imo.

I have noticed some people on SI who live by "talking points," who are a veritable fountain of them, criticizing Moore's movie because that's its approach. Makes me laugh.

Hitchen's piece against the movie contained many distortions, btw.

And you haven't demonstrated a great reverence for truth yourself, AS. Don't bother to ask for links. When I noticed how full of bs you were I stopped reading your posts, and that was a while ago.
