To: Cactus Jack who wrote (1725 ) 7/3/2004 7:17:57 PM From: American Spirit Respond to of 2772 That "deceits list" is very deceitful and so is the guy who wrote them. Especially when he calls himself a NAder supporter. Sounds like RNC central to me. I could rebut every one of them. It's true Moore left some stuff out of his film which would be the "glass is half full" vs. "half empty" element, but on the big issues, there are no deceits, in fact "56 deceits" themselves are full of deceits and excuses. Look at this one for instance, which I consider the biggest of all: Bush on September 11 Deceit 8 Fahrenheit mocks President Bush for continuing to read a story to a classroom of elementary school children after he was told about the September 11 attacks. What Moore did not tell you: Gwendolyn Tose’-Rigell, the principal of Emma E. Booker Elementary School, praised Bush’s action: “I don’t think anyone could have handled it better.” “What would it have served if he had jumped out of his chair and ran out of the room?” She said the video doesn’t convey all that was going on in the classroom, but Bush’s presence had a calming effect and “helped us get through a very difficult day.” * Like it's Bush's job to make sure kids don't get alarmed while NYC is burning? Is that alame excuse or what? But guess what, this is the official RNC talking points excuse. Another big deceit in that list is the writer's claiming Al Qaida and Saddam are tied together. He directly contracdicts the 9-11 commission who know a hell of a lot more than he does about it. Also the only date he can give is 1992 which is a LONG time ago before Al Qaida as we know it now even existed. A third deceit is that the skies weren't shut down on 9-13. I defy anyone here to tell me they know anyone who knew anywhere on 9-13. furthermore, I have read an eyewitness account of the escaping Saudis from an Logan Airport employee stating that they were the only flight being allowed to go anywhere. And the FBI did NOT interrogate any of them, they just asked for their names and passports. And who is in charge of the FBI? Ashcroft. OK, Moore took some cheap shots but by in large his film is on the money.
