Ah, the way I recall this is that AS originally appeared as a woman. Then these appeared: Message 19377769 Then these tributes by AS to women: Message 19449828 Message 19532856 Now I conducted a little private survey among about a dozen SI women on their impressions of AS's writing style. The universal opinion was that AS is female. Apparently some of them (even a few women) think it's somehow demeaning to call a man a woman. No. We calls it as we sees it. Were Margaret Thatcher on our ballot this time (or Barbara Bush or Sandra Day O'Connor), she'd have my vote. One thing that's thrown me is insistence that many public figures on the right are secretly gay-- Ann Coulter, Limbaugh, etc. Bizarre. And that you're right about. I find it puzzling. As you point out, it simply decreases AS's credibility. I was asked by SI Admin once why I referred to AS as female. My answer was that I did not know the true facts; I was just going with what I regarded as the best facts availiable. And I say E raised some excellent points. So did you.

I didn't say Limbaugh was gay. But Coulter has come out and claims she's happier now and Drudge is gay. Also Cheney's daughter is gay and has kept her father from being totally against gay marriages. Limbaugh is only rumored to be gay. Rush did just have his wife leave him though. But that could be just about drugs. Of course such drugs do make you impotent too. And hysterical. And maybe horny for kinky stuff. Basically all junkies lie so if Rush denied being gay he probably is. Wouldn't put it past him. Also expect to someday have Hannity caught in a transvestite love tryst. Mr. Choirboy who claims to have never had sex in his life outside marriage. O'Reilly too. Probably big phonies. Just the irony of it all. Remember Bill Bennett, Jimmy Swaggart, Dick Morris and Jim Baker? Same deal. The more they claim to be moral the more conflicted they are.
