LBJ? These are Bushies. The Rev. Richard Land deals with ethics and religious liberty issues for the Southern Baptist Convention, a key Bush constituency. I think you're wrong if you believe that it's only the ethicist for that particular key Bush constituency who will oppose the campaign of the party in power suggesting that a "duty" be imposed on volunteers who want to work with them to turn over their church directories. But we'll see what happens. Under this administration, there's not much that could surprise me including turning churches into campaign headquarters.
